Getting Married or know someone who is? Read why Wedding Insurance is so important!
More than 3000 weddings take place every day in the US, with the average cost now reaching $24,000 each. Recognizing that the “Big Day” comes with a financial commitment, McKnight Insurance Services and Travelers, offer the Wedding Protector Plan, an insurance policy covering weddings.
A wedding is one the first large investments a couple will make, both emotionally and financially. Because there are so many moving parts, there are many opportunities for something to go wrong. It is important to protect such an investment.
The wedding protection plan provides coverage, with no deductible, for a variety of unfortunate occurrences associated with a wedding.
A lot of time and money goes into planning your wedding and McKnight Insurance Services wants to ensure that the wedding stays within your budget even if the unexpected happens.
Here is a list of a few wedding disasters-
1. No Dress-
You can get repair or replacement cost if the bride’s wedding gown or groom’s tuxedo is lost or damaged.
2. Lost Deposits-
We can reimburse your deposit if a vendor goes out of business, declares bankruptcy before your wedding, or simply fails to show up.
You can receive repair or replacement cost if the bride’s or groom’s wedding band is lost or damaged.
4. Severe Weather–
7. Call to Duty–
8. Damaged Gifts-
You can get repair or replacement cost if your wedding gifts are damaged.
9. Sudden Illness-
If the wedding needs to be postponed because sudden illness prevents the honorees, parents, grandparents or children from attending, you can receive reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses.
10. Venue Requires Insurance-
As an additional option to your policy, you can add liability coverage to protect yourself in case a guest is injured or causes damage to property. There is no additional cost for additional insured.
If a vendor suddenly becomes unavailable for your event but you can find a last minute replacement, we can reimburse you for the difference in cost, up to 25% of the original contract price.
Benefits will trigger if the wedding must be cancelled or postponed due to lack of funds. The insured must qualify for unemployment under applicable employment statutes.
